Yes. NXT offers both manual and automatic driving lessons in Bath, subject to instructor availability in your area. Automatic lessons are increasingly popular with learners who prefer to concentrate on road awareness, planning and decision-making without having to manage gears and a clutch. Contact us with your postcode and we’ll check the latest availability for you.

Yes. We offer intensive driving courses in Bath for complete beginners as well as learners who already have some driving experience. Our intensive courses concentrate your tuition into a shorter period, helping you develop your skills without long gaps between lessons. Your instructor will tailor the course around your current ability, progress and individual learning needs.

Yes. Although practical driving tests must be booked by the pupil directly with the DVSA, our team can support and guide you through the process. Many of our pupils are currently finding cancellation appointments around the end of their course or shortly afterwards, although this always depends on current local DVSA availability. If you’re unsure about arranging your test, speak to us and we’ll explain the process and help you plan your course around it.

The practical driving test itself is not automatically included because the DVSA requires the pupil to make and manage their own test booking. However, we’ll support you through the process and explain how to look for a suitable test date. Where possible, pupils aim for a test towards the end of their intensive course or shortly afterwards, depending on local test availability and their readiness.

There isn’t a fixed number of lessons that suits every learner. Previous driving experience, confidence, how frequently you drive and how quickly you develop the required skills can all make a difference. Our instructors use client-centred coaching techniques and will regularly review your progress with you, helping you understand which areas are going well and what still needs development before you’re ready for your practical driving test.

In many cases, yes. Depending on your location and your instructor’s diary, lessons can often begin from home, work, school or college within the instructor’s normal Bristol teaching area. If you’d like different collection and drop-off points, speak to us when arranging your lessons and we’ll do our best to accommodate your requirements.
